Loo Re-Do's
Has anyone heard the new version of this song: "These are a few of my favorite things”? I heard it on the radio today, but I never found out who it was. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing… Does anyone know who sings it? I would love to look up the lyrics, because they were different than the song from Sound of Music…Anyways.
We have been helping lots of customers re-do bathrooms lately, so it got me thinking…Where to begin? Let’s start with having a great piece of furniture for a vanity (which we can make for you, or help you find an antique cupboard to convert). I just re-did our 1/2 bath and I used an antique metal dentist cabinet for the sink base. It is a tight space, so I attached the faucet fixtures to the wall and the sink sits on top of the cupboard. Here are some photos.
I really like to put an unexpected mirror in bathroom designs, something that you don’t see everywhere. One of my favorite bathroom mirrors is a mirror made from reclaimed ceiling tin or reclaimed copper. I love the look of a matching pair over 2 sinks. Here is a photo of a pair of black and white ones we just got in the shop and a photo of my round copper one. We can make them in different colors and different sizes, but the tin is always antique and unique. One large tin mirror over a double sink vanity looks great as well.
If you feel stuck in your re-do, come talk to us, we would love to help you out!
